RAWALPINDI: Rescue 1122, Director General, Dr. Rizwan Naseer,
appreciated the role of the rescuers during special event of Eid-ul-Azha
by dealing 153 emergency cases efficiently.
He said all
rescuers of the Service are contributing for building safer communities
and providing sense of safety in their respective districts, says a
press statement issued here on Thursday.
In this regard, Rescue
1122 Rawalpindi rescued 153 victims while responding 152 emergency calls
during Eid holidays from 6 to 9 November.
Over 300 Rescuers
were remained alert with 14 ambulances, 12 fire trucks, 2 water boozers,
2 special rescue and recovery vehicles and 2 aerial turntable ladders
at their rescues stations and key points outside the Eidgahs and parks.
The Service responded to 153 emergency calls received at its
toll free Emergency Number 1122. All emergencies calls were of road
traffic accidents.
Rescuers responded efficiently to all
accidents, provided medical treatment to the victims and safe
transportation to the hospitals. The Service maintained its average
response time of 5 minutes.
Out of 153 victims, 35 were provided
emergency medical treatment at the spot, whereas 118 victims of
accidents were shifted to District Head Quarters Hospital, Benazir
Bhutto Hospital, Holy family Hospital and Pakistan Institute of Medical
Sciences (PIMS) Hospital. Online
