JI submits motion in senate against MFN status to India

Senators belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan have submitted two adjournment motions in senate on national issues. In the first motion, it is said that the news of the decision of the Cabinet to grant Most Favoured Nation status to India has fallen upon the country as a Bombshell.

This is going to hence for reaching economic and political consequences. This is a matter of urgent national importance and I beg to move that the normal business of the house be suspended to discuss this matter. This motion was signed by professor khurshid Ahmad.
In the second motion, while giving print media report reference, in which it is said that during the last ten years Commercial Banks both public and private have made huge profits at the cost of the ordinary depositor. According to this report public and private sector banks have swallowed up around Rs. 1,100 billion during the last 10 years.
This is a matter of urgent national importance and I beg to move that the normal business of the house be suspended to discuss this matter. Second motion was signed by professor khurshid Ahmad and Professor Muhammad Ibrahim khan.
