Govt completed development projects worth of Rs 1.3 trillion: Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the present government has completed development projects worth one point three trillion rupees during the last three years.

           
Speaking in the National Assembly on Friday over the points raised by different members, he said details of those projects will be shared with the House very soon.
He said work on Lowari Tunnel project will soon be resumed keeping in view its geo-strategic importance. He said a couple of days ago he chaired a high level meeting in Lahore to review the progress on mega National Highway projects. The meeting was attended by the Finance and Communication Ministers, Chairman NHA and others stakeholders.
The Prime Minister said the concerned authorities were directed to expedite work on the mega highway projects. The Finance Ministry has committed to disburse one billion rupees to the National Highway Authority to start work on the projects.
The Prime Minister said the Ministers in his Cabinet are fully empowered to efficiently discharge their duties.  
He said he has given full authority to the ministers and does not intervene their work. However, if they have any complaints against anybody they can contact him in person. SANA
