Sindh High Court has issued notices to Chief Secretary, Secretary Interior and DG Rangers in Afaq case.
The division bench of Sindh High Court comprised of Chief Justice
Mushir Alam Kahn and Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh heard the plea of Muhajir
Qaumi Movement Chief Afaq Ahmed on Tuesday.
Applicant Iqbal Kazmi filed plea on behalf of Afaq Ahmed, in this
petition Afaq expressed his fear that after his release he will be
arrested again or will be assassinated.
It was prayed in the petition that court may direct government to deploy rangers for security of Afaq Ahmed.
The court has issued the notices to Chief Secretary Sindh, Secretary Interior and DG Rangers’. SANA
