JI condemns Hilary’s threats

The Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Syed Munawar Hasan has condemned the US Secretary of State’s threats to the country and said Washington was aggressive only because of the rulers’ cowardly policies and their failure to act

according to the resolutions of the parliament and the APCs’.
In a statement from Mansura, he said, on one hand, Hilary Clinton was hurling threats to Islamabad while on the other hand, she was praising this country which was sheer hypocrisy.
He called upon the government and the armed forces to take strict notice of the US threats and act in line with the policy worked out in the All Parties Conference.
The JI chief said, the US had thrust an undeclared war on Pakistan in the form of drone attacks but the spineless Pakistani rulers remained totally indifferent and there was no formal protest on that either. Innocent men, women and children were falling victim of the US tyranny. Nearly 35 thousand people had been killed in these attacks so far which was far more than the loss suffered in the 1965 and 1971 wars.
He said, violation of Pakistan’s borders as also attacks on our armed forces were increasing. Pakistan’s economy had already been ruined in this war and this war was being fought on foreign loans. Despite that, Washington was not happy with Islamabad.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that there had been two Parliament special sittings on this issue besides three APCs at which unanimous resolutions were adopted. The recent APC presided over by the Prime Minister had decided to set up a Parliamentary Committee which had not been constituted as yet which reflected the government’s lack of sincerity.
He called for immediate pull out of the US war and a befitting response to Washington in case of a direct US attack. SANA
