ISLAMABAD: Residents of Federal Capital expressed their concern over
recent increase in prices of petroleum products said that raise would
not only damage the pace of national economic activities but also
multiply economic woes of the masses.
Talking to this news
agency here on Tuesday the residents said that the masses are already
bearing the brunt of high inflation, price hike, worsening law and
order, kidnapping, suicide bombings, target killing and drone attacks
and now more increase in petroleum rates would aggravate problems.
The
government through such unjustified decisions like its predecessors
seems oblivious to the plight and sufferings of the poor. Turning blind
eye to the massive loot and plunder and the stashing away huge funds
minted through corruption and kickbacks is further aggravating the
grave economic situation. In order to give some relief to hard-hit
masses, government should immediately withdraw increase in petroleum
