ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior, Senator A. Rehman Malik
has directed the Printing Corporation of Pakistan to provide complete
record of total number of copies of arms licenses printed by Printing
Corporation of Pakistan and issued to Federal and Provincial
Governments since 1947 and all Fake Arms License holders would be tried
under section 420 PPC and other fraud and cheating related laws
onwards. He issued these instructions while chairing a high level
meeting at Ministry of Interior here Monday.
The meeting was
attended by Federal Secretary Interior, Chairman NADRA, Director
General, Immigration and Passports and Inspector General of Police,
(IG) Islamabad.
It was decided in the meeting that FIA would
enquire total number of Arms licenses (PB, NBP) issued by Ministry of
Interior over a period of ten years starting from 2000 onwards. FIA
shall conduct enquiry based on the record of National Bank of Pakistan
which was authorized to collect challans and fee deposits.
NADRA
shall revalidate all Arms licenses issued by the Ministry of Interior
as well as the Provincial Governments with immediate effect. Rs. 1100
for PB and Rs. 600 for NPB will be charged as revalidation charges of
Arms licenses. All applications for issuance of Arms Licenses will be
received at all local NADRA offices who shall issue arms licenses from
the same counter. Minister for Interior will inaugurate the
distribution of Arms Licensees at Islamabad NADRA Office on September
22, 2011.

NADRA was instructed to
computerize employee’s record of ICT Police. Minister of Interior also
instructed Ministry of Interior to approach Establishment Division for
computerization of all Federal Government employees’ data through
NADRA.
Foreigner’s registration, their entry and exit should be
consolidated in the National Database by NADRA. For this purpose, NADRA
will develop software.
It was decided that foreigners shall get
Exit Certificate from local police authorities; otherwise, they may be
