Dengue claim another 8 lives in Lahore

Eight more people lost their lives in Lahore after suffering from Dengue fever including an elite police personal of Shahbaz Sharif security squad, raising the toll to 88 on Saturday. In Punjab, 9,500 cases of Dengue have been confirmed.

Elite police personal Jahanzaib 30, Tufail aged 70 and Arshad 45, Rukhsana Bibi 42, Ayaz Bhatti 22, sardaran bibi 75 were the victims of Dengue virus who lost their lives in Mayo Hospital on Saturday.
The suspected victims of Dengue fever are continuously visiting hospitals and only patients with critical condition are admitted. Majority of the patients are not satisfied with the treatment provided in the hospitals.
Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif chaired yet another session of Dengue Emergency Committee to discuss the situation and ordered to set up a temporary field hospital in the city.
He was told in the meeting that the machines required in Dengue treatment would reach Lahore on September 28. Also, 624 nurses have been recruited and deputed in different hospitals. SANA
