PESHAWAR: The provincial government has taken strict and vigilant
security measures against any possible acts of terrorism n Eid-ul-Fitr,
with ban on entrance of heavy vehicles on important highways.
The
leaves of all police personnel have been cancelled, while heavy
patrolling of police mobiles has been reported on busiest roads of
Peshawar, trading centers and highways.
The road leading to
Khyber Bazaar from Souray Bridge, Balahisar Fort has been closed for
heavy traffic, with an alternate provided towards Kutchery Bazaar.
Motorbikes
have also been banned at some roads, while pillion riders are also
subjected to strict checking. Heavy contingents of police have been
deployed at main shopping bazaars , with citizens being subjected to
