LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Monday visited the
family of late Governor Punjab Salman Taseer and assured them of all
efforts for the early recovery of Shahbaz Taseer.
The son of the former governor was abducted near his home in Lahore on Saturday.
Prime
Minister Gilani who stayed with the family for around an hour,
expressed solidarity with the family and said no effort would be spared
for the apprehension of kidnappers.
It may be recalled that the
Prime Minister had directed the law enforcement agencies, intelligence
agencies and Punjab’s Inspector General of Police to utilise all
resources to trace the whereabouts of Shahbaz Taseer. Prime Minister
Gilani also spoke to Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, who also
assured that his administration was utilising all resources for his
