Rehman Malik vow to play role in war against terrorism until the demise of last terrorist

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Pakistan is determined to defeat terrorism at all cost and nothing can weaken the government’s commitment against this menace, meanwhile he suggested the establishment of an organization like Interpol, emphasizing of formation of interfaith harmony commission and called for Joint Task Force of SAARC for the safe passage of shipping.

Addressing the 4th SAARC Interior Minister Conference at Thimphu in Bhutan on the 2nd day of the conference he said that Pakistan scarified a lot after 9/11 and more than 35 thousand Pakistanis scarified their lives, adding that Pakistan is daily facing incidents like 9/11 and 26/11.
He said that Pakistan faced 7485 bomb blasts in last 10 years in which 3812 were suicide attacks, adding that more than 35 thousand people lost their lives in these blasts.
He said that Pakistan is following the policy of 3Ds including dialogues, progress and use of force against the terrorists, adding that Pakistan made the immigration and boarder rules more effective.
He said that the amendments have been made in the anti-terrorism act, adding that the capacity of the security forces is being increased, adding that Pakistan banned 31 terrorist groups and we have to change the thinking of people along with formal ways to counter the menace of terrorism.
He appreciated the interfaith harmony ideology of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and said that SARRC countries should also adopt this ideology of interfaith harmony.
He said that religious violence was increased in the SAARC countries which helped the terrorists to fulfill their heinous designs, adding that due to poverty in the region the youngsters were exploited by the terrorist groups.
He said that interchange of intelligence information is very necessary for the elimination of terrorism among the SAARC countries.
The conference was also addressed by Chairman of SAARC, who is the Prime Minister of Bhutan; meanwhile the interior ministers and interior secretaries attended this conference.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik handed over the Chairmanship of Interior Ministers of SAARC to the Interior Minister of Bhutan.
Different issues including anti- terrorism, marry time security, immigration, anti-narcotics and cooperation among different member countries of SAARC were discussed.
Referring to the issue of Pirates, he called for Joint Task Force of SAARC for the safe passage of shipping, adding that it is shameful for SAARC countries that they are unable to overcome the pirates. SANA
