President appreciates NH&MP in introducing new culture in policing

President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday said that in a short span of time, the National Highways and Motorway Police have earned a name for themselves professionally and dedication in introducing a new culture in policing marked by both civilized behaviour and effective implementation of traffic regulations.

In his message on the occasion of 13th Annual Award Ceremony of National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP), the President said the active role played by it in various disaster situations including the earthquake, rehabilitation of flood victims and polio campaign in the country, has also earned for it many admirations.

He said that government was implementing a comprehensive plan to establish a world class road network in Pakistan and ensuring its security through patrolling of motorway police.
The objective is to ensure safe and fast movement of our industrial and agricultural products all over the country and beyond, the President said and added that the NH&MP thus have a significant role to play in this endeavour.
President Zardari commended the NH&MP on the occasion of their 13th Annual Awards Ceremony and congratulated all the award winners for their excellence and commitment.
“ I am glad that a motivational activities such as this awards ceremony are a regular feature to boost the morale of the force,” the President said.
The President wished the NH&MW and award winners greater success and glory in the future. APP
