Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif said we would hold back only by defeating the forces of wickedness by fighting them to the bitter end as we have reached the limit and have no more courage for patience.
He said defeat is surely not the option in this concluding fight against the forces of evil.
Addressing a sit-in of journalists here on Wednesday in front of Parliament House staged for demanding to set up an independent commission to probe the killing of the journalist Saleem Shahzad.
Nawaz Sharif said the killing of Saleem Shahzad is the killing of Pakistani journalism, law and constitution and 170 million people. PML-N supports this sit-in and is ready to cooperate with media in its every step, he said.
He said country is facing very critical situation and questioned who the people are which have made law, constitution, state and its 170 million people helpless.
He said the formation of independent commission for the probe of deceased journalist Saleem Shahzad is the voice of whole nation. He said country has witnessed even more heinous incidents. He said investigation committee has singled out the individuals responsible for the killing of journalist Wali Khan Babar then who are the people which are obstacle in presenting those accused in front of public.
Nawaz said the Parliament behind us had passed a unanimous resolution on Abbotabad incident but it has been thrown into dust bin. He questioned what is the advantage of sit-in front of a parliament which has no credibility and whose verdicts are rejected.
He said Pak Navy chief statement on the PNS Mehran Base attack that it was not a security flaw made whole nation angered.
He asked who are the people behind the Kharotabad incident and killing of a youngster by firing of rangers’ personnel in Karachi.
He said he want to inform the President and Prime Minister that time has moved on and it is 2011 and not 1911. SANA
