There would be no crisis in country after Gilani, Zardari resignation: Ahsan Iqbal

ISLAMABAD  : Secretary Information Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal has said that after the resignations of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari there would be no constitutional crisis in the country.

He said that the resignations of both leaders are the need of the hour, adding that the demand of Shah Mehmood Qureshi to quit prime minister and president is right and PML-N supports this demand.
In an interview with a private TV channel, Ahsan Iqbal said that both the leaders are silent over the big incident of Abbottabd; besides this they are holding routine visits of foreign countries.
He said that the Abbottabad incident shows that the whole defence system of the country has failed after the Abbottabad incident, adding that the whole nation is worried about the security of the country.
He said that the nation is of the view that after the incident of Abbottabad the country is not secure, adding that the high ups of the nation should answer the questions of the nation.
Ahsan Iqbal said that the silence of president over the incident is also a question, adding that the prime minister had also gone on French visit after the incident and never mind to take the nation into confidence.
He said that if accountability of any institution is required after the incident it should be done, adding that the important meeting of PML-N would be held on 10th of May, in which the party would review the whole incident of Abbottabad in detail and would present its view point in front of masses.
He said that the PML-N is the 1st party of the country, which has called the party meeting after taking serious notice of the Abbottabad incident.
He said that the national security policy of the state could not fulfill the system of the country, adding that there should be some proper system for this policy. SANA
