ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Air Force radars were very much active and
operative as usual on May 2, said PAF spokesman refuting news in a section of
media stating to the contrary here on Saturday.
PAF spokesman Air Commodore, Tariq Qamar Yazdani termed ‘baseless’ and
‘untrue’ all such reports that PAF’s radars were inactive of jammed by the US
forces.
“There should not be any suspicion about performance of our equipments,” he
said.
Air Commodore Tariq Qaisar Yazdani has said that the PAF radars were active
on May 2.
Talking to a private TV channel Tariq Qamar Yazdani, categorically denied the
reports appearing in a section of the press that the radars of the Pakistan Air
Force were not operational on May 2.
He asserted that all the radars of the PAF were working on the night Osama
Bin Ladin was killed and termed the newspapers reports as baseless.
According to a private TV channel, Pakistan Air Force did not said anything
about the knowledge about the arrival of US planes, which came into Pakistani
territory for holding operation against Osama bin Laden. SANA
