Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has been acquitted of two references of corruption by an accountability court.
Judge Chaudhry Abdul Haq issued a verdict, acquitting Malik in both cases due to the lack of witnesses, the Daily Times reports.
Malik was accused of receiving hefty gratification in the purchase of official vehicles when he was posted as the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director General (ADG).
The second reference alleged that Malik barged into the house of Hashim Raza in Lahore and took away cash, gold and other valuables. (ANI)
