The possibility of Muttahida Quami Movement(MQM) rejoining the coalition seem
imminent following the approval of Deputy Convener, Dr. Farroq Sattar's decision
by party's chief, Altaf Hussain and party's coordination committee, reported
Daily Times on Sunday.
Both sides are expected to hold meeting to decide the date of rejoining the
Cabinet. Sources say the move came when Federal Interior Minister, Rehman Malik
told the co-ordination committee that he welcomed the MQM'S decision of
reconciliation with Pakistan People's Party (PPP). Subsequently, both sides held
a joint meeting on Sunday to discuss the issues pertaining to the
reconciliation. Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani also expressed his condolences
over the demise of MQM leader Liaquat Ali Qureshi(ANI)
