Pakistan Taliban denies killing of Mullah Omar

Islamabad : The Pakistani Taliban Monday said that news reports stating that Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Omar had been killed in Pakistan were not true,
Geo TV reported.

'Tahreek-e-Taliban has strongly denied that Mulla Omar was killed, while he was on his way from Quetta to Waziristan, as claimed by the Afghan intelligence agency and a section of the media reported,' Geo TV said.
Earlier reports quoted Afghan intelligence officials as saying that Mullah Omar was killed in Pakistan, but did not provide any details. IANS
