ISLAMABAD : Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said judiciary
will ensure dispensing speedy and inexpensive justice
to the needy people.
Presiding the meeting of National Judicial Policy Making Committee here on
Saturday, he said this meeting is the continuation of earlier meetings and will
consider many proposals and suggestions received from various stakeholders
including bar associations, lawyers, civil society and others.
He said the meeting will also discuss the observations and important points
made during the last National Judicial Conference.
Chief Justice said the justice system should work independently and without
any fear and distinction between influential and non-influential. He said there
is no place in the country’s constitution for such differences.
Chief Justice said the trend of fake litigation needs to be curbed. He said
sometimes the litigants with ulterior motives succeed in their cases but it is
the law that ultimately prevails.
He said now the trend is changing and the people who made obstructions
against these polices have changed stance and have become supporters of our
policies.
We welcome their suggestions if they advance the cause of the justice. He
said we have to make the judicial policy successful to provide justice. SANA
