ISLAMABAD: Public Accounts Committee (PAC) while taking serious note of
absence of FATA secretary in its meeting has warned stern action will be
initiated against him in the event of breach of discipline in future.
PAC met here in parliament house Thursday under Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.
Auditor General of Pakistan Tanvir Ali Agha told recoveries of over Rs 102
billion had been made during the last three years on account of financial
irregularities.
PAC directed interior ministry to hold inquiry through FIA officers within
one month into railway scrap sale scam.
Reprimanding secretary FATA, Ch Nisar said all institutions and officers are
answerable to parliament. No slackness on the part of officers will be tolerated
