Mirza orders tight security on highways

Karachi : Taking notice of a sharp rise in the loots on highways, Home Minister Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza has directed law enforcement agencies to tighten security on the routes used by vehicles to transport medicines,
 agricultural goods and other commodities.In a press release issued by the home department on Wednesday, Dr. Mirza instructed Rangers and policepersonnel of all districts and towns to ensure tight security at Superhighway, National Highway, Northern Bypass, Lyari Expressway and other roads.He also directed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Fayyaz Leghari to submit a detailed report onsecurity measures on highways. Furthermore he directed the IGP to take every possible step to restore confidence of public in police.
