Hillary Clinton heading to Rome next week for Libya talks

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will travel to Italy next week to talk strategy with international partners on how to protect civilians in Libya and increase the pressure on Moammar Gadhafi to leave power.
Clinton departs Wednesday, with the Rome talks taking place the next day.
The meeting in Italy's capital brings together the key players in the six-week campaign led by NATO. Participants will talk about how to shield Libyan civilians from attacks by pro-Gadhafi forces and provide additional support to the opposition.
Clinton will stay until Friday to have one-on-one discussions with some of the other attendees.
State Department spokesman Mark Toner said Clinton's schedule includes meetings with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, President Giorgio Napolitano and Foreign Minister Franco Frattini. AP
