President Zardari says he will respect memo probe by Parliamentary Committee

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari, after a long time, broke his silence and said that parliament is supreme and he will respect probe by the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on memogate scam.

This is his first interview to any news channel after a long hiatus. Talking to a private TV channel, President Zardari opened spoke on the key national issues.
Commenting on ‘memogate’, he said that he would respect the Parliamentary Committee on National Security’s (PCNS) decision as he believed that the Parliament is supreme.
He said he doesn’t afraid of early elections and is ready to talk to PML-N President Nawaz Sharif in this regard. During the interview President rejected that the national entities like PIA, Railways, WAPDA etc. are inching towards collapse. 
“Media think it was so, but I don’t think so, these entities have only weakened”, President said. To a question the President denied any rivalry with the Chief Justice.
The president also showed consent holding dialogue with opposition on all the issues particularly on early elections. He also rejected the impression of confrontation among the institutions, saying that he they are moving towards evolution.
To a query regarding differences between him and Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, the President did not openly comment over it except reciting a verse.
Commenting over holding trial of former president Pervez Musharraf, Asif Ali Zardari stated that it could have discouraged the morale of army. He also clarified that he didn’t separate Shah Mehmood Qureshi over the Raymond Davis issue. The president looked very confident and committed to complete his constitutional term in the presidency.
