QUETTA: PML-N President Mian Nawaz Sharif Friday strongly condemned
mysterious kidnappings in Balochistan and also rejected the
‘Aghaz-e-Huqooq’ Balochistan package as meaningless.
He was
talking to reporters after he met Baloch Nationalist leaders’ senator Dr
Abdul Malik Baloch, senator Mir Hasi Bazenjo and others.
He said that peace would remain elusive in Balochistan without taking action against the killers of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
“What steps the PPP-led government has taken to arrest those behind the gruesome murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti?,” he asked.
He
said the government has also not perused Bugti case in the courts.
“Both the federal and Balochistan government are of PPP but they are
silent spectators over the incident,” said.
He stressed that all
political and democratic forces would have to be united to put salve on
the wounds of Balochistan. “I give proposals for holding a seminar in
Islamabad for all political parties so that they may get awareness about
the problems facing Balochistan”, he added.
“The PPP which had
come to power in the name of democracy had thrown charter of democracy
in dustbin,” he regretted. PPP imposed such decisions that not only
Balochistan but the whole country was suffering heavily, he added. All
Parties Conference is convened but decisions taken therein are not
implemented by the government, he added.
Referring to the
‘conflicting’ statement by the Prime Minister, he said the PM says one
thing in the morning and issues a contrary statement it in the evening.
“The PM should talk openly and bring the truth before people,”
he stressed. Rulers should not conceal any thing and tell in plain terms
if there was pain in stomach or it was headache. If there is headache
then the government should consult doctors and take a tablet,” he said.
The incumbent government had done injustice with Balochistan by
scraping the projects of construction of Gwadar Coastal high way, he
alleged. PPP had not respected popular mandate, he remarked.
He
said the tragic incident of Akhrotabad occurred here and the foreigners
were killed dubbing them terrorists but no action had been taken by
the government so far in this regard.
“I will soon hold a
seminar on Balochistan issue in Islamabad and leadership of all the
nationalist parties from Balochistan will be invited to it, he said I
will host this seminar and issue of Balochistan will be highlighted
therein, he added. Online
