Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that people seekingpower on crutches can not bring revolution and parties supporting dictators had been buried with dictators.
Parties raising slogans of revolution have nothing for deliver to masses and government would seek fresh mandate from people in 2013 on the basis of its performance.
He was addressing to a public gathering in Sargodha this afternoon after inaugurating a string of developmental projects worth billions of rupees.
The Prime Minister said the PPP believes in the service of the people while those talking about revolution have no programme or manifesto.
He said successive dictators made attempts to eliminate Peoples Party but they failed as the party enjoyed support of the masses. He said some parties want to come into power through backdoor but the PPP believes in the strength of the people.
Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said the PPP also believes in the politics of reconciliation and that is why it takes along other political forces in important decision-making.
The Prime Minister referred to the huge development package undertaken by the government for Sargodha and said it would bring about a healthy change in their lives.
He announced that an agreement has been signed with Indonesia under which duty on export of Kinno (Orange) has been waived off. This would help increase its export.
He said development schemes worth 5.5 billion rupees have been completed in power and gas sectors. Electrification of 1123 villages has been completed while work on electirification of 41 more villages is underway which would benefit about one hundred thousand people.
One hundred and fifteen scheme of gas supply would benefit three hundred and thirty thousand people.
Similarly, he said, schemes worth 820 million rupees have been undertaken in health sector including construction of a medical college. The Prime Minister announced teaching hospital status for the college.
He said a Regional Office of Sui Northern Gas Pipeline and an office of Income Tax Commissioner have also been set up in Sargodha to facilitate consumers and tax payers.
The Prime Minister said NAVTEC has been asked to launch training programme to impart technical skills to youth of the area for which 250 million rupees have been allocated.
He also announced setting up of IT Centres at Union Council level besides implementation of drinking water schemes as demanded by local leadership.
