Nawaz Sharif asks PM Gilani to respect courts’ orders

Sukkur: Chief of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif Tuesday asked the prime minister to accept the courts’ orders and appear before the courts.

Speaking to the media at Sukkur airport, the former prime minister said the situation would have not worsened if the government acted upon sincere advices given by his party.
He said that judges who endorsed unconstitutional steps of dictators should also be held accountable. He added his party’s stand was clear since Musharraf sought resignation from Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
Replying to a query regarding formation of new provinces, Mr. Shraif said demand of new provinces was emanating from their hearts unlike others who were doing politics on the issue.
In reply to another question about the possibility of his party’s resignations from the assemblies, he said that all leaders from other opposition parties in meeting with him discussed situation in the country and realized that the situation was alarming in the country.
Nawaz Sharif said government coalition partners were equally responsible for the worsening situation who were not paying heed to miseries of people. Online
