Fazalullah responsible sectarian violence: Rehman Malik

KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that Maulvi Fazalullah, the Swat Taliban chief, is responsible for all the ongoing sectarian attacks.

Talking to media on Saturday, the minister said that the militants have changed their policy as earlier they were targeting a common man but now they are killing officials’ from police, FC, and law enforcement agencies.
He claimed that Maulvi Fazalullah while sitting in Afghanistan is operating all kind of terrorists’ activities in Pakistan. He said that the terrorists are not doing anything for the cause of Islam despite; they are killing the innocents for money.
The government has taken stern action against the militant groups in Pakistan who are creating mess and destabilizing the entire system, he said.
Malik also proposed that there should be ban on pillion riding in Karachi for at least one month in order to bring complete peace in the city.
The minister appraised the efforts of the Chief MQM and Manzoor Wasaan by organizing successful gatherings in Sukkur and Sindh respectively. Online
