Rulers raising hue and cry to blackmail SC: Imran Khan

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan Thursday accused the government of blackmailing the Supreme Court on memogate scandal.

PTI chairman said this while talking to media men at the residence of Makhdoom Murid Hussain Qureshi, bother of Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on the occasion of his joining PTI.
Imran said the rulers also staged a drama when the Supreme Court took the NRO issue.
Responding to a question Imran Khan said PTI would field its candidates in every constituency as soon as the schedule of the election was announced.
To another question he said a leader brings about change and people don’t bring change. Leader has an ideology. People should be rest assured “we will bring change”, he asserted.
Replying to a question Imran said government had destroyed farming community. Farmers were backbone of the country but they were in distress, he added.
The rulers had hatched conspiracy against themselves due to their massive corruption and incompetence. Had the rulers delivered on their pledges there would have been no conspiracy, he underlined. Had a genuine opposition been in the country the corrupt rulers would have quit the corridors of power far earlier, he remarked.
PML-N was chanting slogans “Go Zardari Go but it was not quitting assemblies, PTI chief maintained.
To another question he said “we should come out of war on terror rather than suspending the NATO supply. This was US war and due to this war devastation had been caused in Pakistan, he added. We will have to come out of this war then the situation will be improved.
Responding to a question he said “ I ask President and Prime Minister what they have done and what change they have brought during the last four years”.
He ruled out possibility of holding of fair and transparent elections under Asif Ali Zardari. Rigging had taken place in all the elections which had been held so far under Zardari , Imran underlined. Lahore High Court had given verdict in this respect, he pointed out.
Investigations should be made on the basis of medical condition of Asif Ali Zardari to see if his health condition allowed him to continue as president of the country, he said. Those who wanted to bring revolution did not want to become care taker prime minister, he added.
Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said change had come adding if Prime Minister Gilani given up using state machinery and official vehicles he would come to know what was politics. Online
