PM’s address according to Constitutional norms, spirit: Ashiq Awan

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has stressed that the Prime Minister’s address was in accordance with Constitutional norms.

Talking exclusively to Online on Thursday, she declared the prime minister’s address as a symbol and representative of masses’ mandate, and ushered in the era of masses’ supremacy.
She also affirmed that all political parties confirmed to democratic ideals and supremacy of Constitution.
To a question, she complained that success of democracy in a small spate of three years had invited conspiracies against it, while no protest was ever registered against 11 years of dictatorship.
Stressing that democracy is the sole defender of the country, she said that government was performing according to law and constitutional norms, and warned that the country could ill-afford any unconstitutional endeavour, at this critical juncture. Online
