Chaudhry Nisar demands defence minister’s resignation

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Thursday demanded of Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar to resign from his post after his statement which he submitted in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, saying the defence ministry has no control over country’s army and its intelligence agency ISI operations.

He said that the defence minister’s deposition to the Supreme Court about the army and the ISI was dreadful.
Speaking in the National Assembly, the opposition leader said he was receiving life threats and after inquiry he came to know that some intelligence officials were doing so. Nisar said that he would not accept Interior Minster Rehman Malik’s account in this regard. Online
