Mushahid opposes use of force, insists on talks on Balochistan issue

QUETTA: Secretary General Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Senator Mushahid Hussein Syed Wednesday opposed the notion of the use of force to resolve problems and said the issues of Balochistan and the tribal regions must be resolved through talks.

Speaking at a press conference here Mushahid Hussein said that PML-Q condemned targeted killing of innocent people in Balochistan and described as cruel throwing of mutilated bodies of slain political activists.
He urged all political forces in the country to show unity to fight against major challenges. He supported the decision by the government after the alleged Memo sent to Mike Mullen and said that his party would back impartial investigation into the matter.
Replying to a question Mushahid Hussein said that he did not think general elections would take place before time. He claimed PML-Q would come up as the largest party of the country in coming elections.
To another question the PML-Q General Secretary said that most of the stuff announced by the present government under the Aghaz e Haqooq Balochistan Package had been laid down in Shujaat-Mushahid Committee.
Earlier, addressing the workers convention Mushahid Hussein said that PML-Q is the second largest party of country which represented the whole nation.
