Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan
has announced to quit the chairmanship of the Public Accounts
Committee, due to the making of PAC political wrangling by government,
adding that the PML-N would not accept the post again.
Addressing a press conference here in Islamabad along with Malik
Abrar and Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Sunday Chaudhry Nisar said that the
government want to bring those who could make hue and cry.
He asked the government to summon the joint sitting of parliament
over the death of 24 solders in the result of NATO forces attack, adding
that the decision of the defence committee of the cabinet should also
be got approval of the parliament.
He said that the joint sitting of the parliament should be summoned
prior to the Ashoora, adding that the option of resignations from the
assemblies but the final decision would be made by the leadership of the
party, adding that the decision would be made when it would be prove
effective.
Chaudhry Nisar said that the members of the PML-N would continue
working as the members of the PAC, adding that on place of me another
PML-N member would replace him.
He said that I am resigning by protesting against the government
policies and corruption, adding that time and again corruption is at its
peak in the country which should be stopped.
He said that from many years I am saying that the parliament has been
made rubber stump, adding that the decisions of the prime minister are
not being implemented.
He said that after the NATO attack on Pakistani check post prime
minister had talked me on telephone and I talked the issue with PML-N
President Mian Nawaz Sharif.
He said that good decisions has been taken in DDC meeting, adding
that the matter comes on implementation, adding that the decisions were
made earlier but these were not implemented.
He said the present rulers are responsible for the blood of 24
solders, adding that time and again we have pointed out but the rulers
have failed to protect the sovereignty of the country.
He said that real responsibility of killing of 24 solders lies on
supreme commander of the armed forces, adding that the resolutions of
two in-camera sessions has been implemented.
He said that the accountability of no one is possible during the era
of present government, adding that being the chairman of the PAC I
worked honestly, adding that the powers are with the committee and not
with the chairman. He said that I am handing over this boat of PAC to
government, adding that every minute of the present government is like
burden on the masses.
He said that the people sitting in the house have failed to ensure
the dignity of the masses, adding that we should feel no shame while
talking about the respect of the country.
He said that we have no desire to sit in the assembly, adding that the work of government has ended now it should be sent home.
He congratulated to Makhdoom shah Mehmood Qureshi on new journey,
adding that Qureshi had not demanded the chief minister ship and other
thing form the PML-N.
