Pakistan Air Lines International flight PK 301 departed for Karachi from
Islamabad Airport after eight hours delay and passengers got furious
and started demonstration on the airport against the delay here on
Friday.
Protesters raised slogans against President Asif Ali Zardari, prime
minister, government and PIA administration meanwhile staff present on
counter vanished from the scene when protesters raised slogans.
Passengers told that PK 301 was scheduled to depart Karachi on 10: AM
but administration told that flight is to depart after an hour and in
same way they passed eight hours. Passengers were not informed about
actual situation, they added.
Sources told that PK 301 was got on lease from Jordan and this plane
is a boeing plane that has gone out of order for last few days, whereas
on Friday the tyres of plane were going out of order again and again
because of air release from tyres and new tyres were brought from
Karachi and flight was departed after eight hours delay after 05: PM.
Sources told that this flight was selected to take Hajis for Hijjaz
whereas due to late of this flight Hajj flight was also got delayed for
