Dengue claims 6 more lives

LAHORE: Dengue virus is still out of control in Lahore despite measures taken by the government.
Six more people succumbed to dengue in the provincial capital during last few hours.

According to details, three people died in Services Hospital and one person died in Ganga Ram Hospital while another lost life in CMH. One patient also died in Mayo hospital.
The patients who died of dengue in Services Hospital include, 25-year-old resident of Gaja Pir Shafique, 50-year-old Nasir Bakhsh of Ichra and 30-year-old Saba Zafar of Gulshan-e Ravi. All of them were shifted to the hospital last day.
A 60-year-old man, Abdul Ghafoor of Rajgarh, was under treatment in Ganga Ram Hospital for last two days and 55-year-old Kaneez Fatima of Fatehgarh was being treated in CMH for last four days. 65-year-old Zainab of Misri Shah was under treatment in Mayo Hospital.
Dengue virus has claimed 227 lives in Punjab, 207 from Lahore alone.
Later, 47-year-old Shamim of Taxila also died of dengue in PIMS Hospital, Islamabad. Online
