LAHORE: Hamid Haroon president All Pakistan Newspapers Society and
Ali Diyan representative of Human Rights Watch have presented record
related to e-mail sent to Salim Shahzad pertaining to life threats
received by him while commission has declared this record original,
Salim Shahzad Commission met here Wednesday under Justice Saqib Nisar in Supreme Court Lahore Registry.
Giving
the briefing to media after the meeting of commission, PFUJ President
Pervez Shaukat told FIA cyber crimes experts could not decode e-mail
record of Salim Shahzad so far. Salim Shahzad mobile record has been
produced to commission, he added. Hamid Haroon and Ali Diyan had
presented the e-mail record to commission with respect to life threats
being faced by Salim Shahzad and commission had declared the record
original. These two persons are very vital, as Salim Shahzad had
informed them about the threats received by him through e-mail, he
added.
Statement of widow of Salim Shahzad has yet to be
recorded and police was also continuing its proceedings with regard to
investigation into Salim Shahzad murder case, he told.
Commission
will require more time to finalize its investigations, he said adding
next meeting of commission will take place in next week. Online
