Wikkileaks: BB arrived in Pak having US support despite assassination threats

Fresh Wikkileaks cables of US secret diplomatic documents have revealed that Asif Ali Zardari expressed his opinion about United States on Jan 28, 2008 saying that US is like a safeguard warranty to Pakistan.
 Secret documents also revealed that Asif Ali Zardari reminded that Benazir Bhutto came to Pakistan despite threats of assassination only because of US support and clearance.
Zardari also confessed that he had firm belief that more he moves closer to General Kayani more Kayani would get weaken.
Wikkileaks documents have also exposed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti quoting his statement that he had praised the drone attacks in Pakistani tribal areas but also said that he would never support these attacks in public. His statement was sent to US on April 30, 2009 by US Consulate General principle officer Lynne Tracy in Peshawar.
Another secret document revealed by Wikkileaks quoted Salman Taseer, who severely criticized the Punjab government led by Mian Shahbaz Sharif and his team is extremely sympathetic .US Consulate General in Lahore Brian D. Hunt in one of his documents conveyed on December 31, 2008 said that Salman Taseer called Shahbaz Sharif extremely hard working but like his gardener.
Hunt in his Feb 7, 2009 document said that Punjab Governor Salman Taseer had no interest in lawyers’ long march and he was preparing for Basant celebration, a kite flying day celebrated in Punjab. Taseer quoted as saying he would celebrate Basant on the day of lawyers’ long march and would see whether Pakistani people give importance to long march or Basant.
Another Wikkileaks secret document has revealed that US companies operating businesses in Pakistan suffered losses worth of billions of rupees because of corruption by Pakistani government. US embassy in Islamabad conveyed secret documents on Jan 26, 2008 revealed that following Pakistani government negligence US companies Microsoft, Oracle, General Electric among others are afraid to suffer losses worth $1.8 billion.
Document revealed that following nontransparent tender of Pak Railway costing worth Rs.46o million General Electric and Pakistan International Airlines faced difficulties for a Rs.230 million project for Oracle, but the concerned authorities never replied to the letter.
US Ambassador also wrote that Microsoft chief Bill Gates had asked former Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz to arrange a deal in 45 days for the license of Microsoft but the reply never came. SANA
