Stopping devolution of ministries process: PML-Q demand rejected

Islamabad: The implementation commission on 18th amendment has rejected the demand of PML-Q in which new ally of the government asked not to transfer the proposed dissolve ministries to provinces, sources said on Saturday.

According to reliable sources, the commission warned if it was disturbed in its functioning than court could be moved by any member.
Sources told that the nominated member of commission by the Prime Minister, PML-Q leader Wasim Sajjad has demanded in the meetings of commission that process of transferring of those ministries which directly relate with federation should be barred and haste should not be made in this regard. One member of the commission told Online that Wasim Sajjad aim was to protect seats ministers of his party which had been allocated to them in reward of joining the collation government but Senator Sajjad has faced resistance within the commission, he added.
The members of ANP and Baloch parties of the commission warned that the process of transferring of benefits including dissolve ministries should not be delayed and if it happened, it would against the constitution.
On query, Senator Wasim Sajjad told Online that he did not oppose the devolution of ministries to provinces but the ministries which related to federation should remain to central government. He explained that ministries like Health, Drug control, Food and agriculture should not be fully devolved to provinces. Wasim Sajjad said that his party was now ally of the government therefore the prime minister made them part of this commission to hear their opinion.
Meanwhile the meetings of commission held on Saturday headed by Mian Raza Rabbani discussed the matters related with ministry of Minority Affairs, Food and Agriculture which would remain with Federal government.
