Rawalpindi: Chief of JUI(S), Maulana Samiulhaq Saturday offered to
be arbiter between the government, security forces and the militants
(Taliban) to prevent a proposed military operation in North Waziristan.
In a news conference followed by the meeting of Executive
Committee of JUI here, Maulana said that military operation in North
Waziristan would not be a wise decision and it could harm the country
which already has been suffering the outcome of proxy war of United
States.
The JUI(S) chief said that to avoid a possible military
action in agency, he could play a role of intermediary between the
concerning parties. He further said that a movement would be started
soon to assemble the political and religious parties on a single point
over US aggression against Pakistan, adding that US drone strikes were
open violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty.
He said the Abbottabad Operation was also an attack on national security and its aftermaths were damaging the country.
Maulana
maintained that the joint resolution of the parliament has not been yet
implemented which was the contempt of the both Houses. He demanded of
the government to stop NATO supplies to prevent the drone strikes which
resulting the casualties of innocent people.
Announcing Anti-US
conferences to be held across the country, Maulana said that these
conferences would aware the people of Pakistan about the disadvantages
of so called “US friendship” which harming the country. He said
