Quetta: While rejecting the perception regarding presence of Quetta
Shoora, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Sunday said that
there have had evidences of external interference in Baluchistan,
adding that the Baluch people know the difference between friends and
foes.
Talking to the media at Chief Minister’s House after
reaching Quetta, the minister said that every possible step has been
taken for the restoration of law and order in Baluchistan and the law
enforcement agencies are working in a coordinated manner. He said that
few handful conspirators are deteriorating the situation on the
dictation of foreign powers just to fulfill their malicious intensions
but the people know these anti-state elements very well.
He
further stated that many annoyed people responded his call in positive
way as they began to return their homes in Baluchistan. Chief Minister
Baluchistan Nawab Aslam Raisani played a very important role in
bringing back these people through negotiation process. “Minor
political cases would be withdrawn against those people when went on
mountains. I ask them to come back their homes and start talks with the
government”, minister added.
He said that unluckily anti
Pakistan elements first killed Punjabis in Baluchistan; they made
victims to Hazarvi people and now are murdering the Sindhis. He said
that the law and order situation in Quetta is much better. The security
forces are fighting these elements but the media should play its
positive role in this connection.
“The government is paying
full heed towards the resolving the problems of Baluchistan and
concrete measures are being taken in this regard. The province would
get maximum benefits from the 18th amendment. Baluchistan is an
important province full of natural resources”, interior minister added.
While giving reply to a question, he said that target killings
have been reduced to considerable level. Those who were arrested on the
charges of targeted killing belonged to PPP, MQM and ANP. The power
game there has been going on since long. The whole nation would have to
be united to confront the enemies of the country. He said that it is
right that there are numerous foes of Pakistan including Bait Ullah
Mahsood and no concession would be given to them. He said that inquiry
of Khorotabad incident is underway and the action would be taken after
its report come to surface.
Responding a question, Malik said
that only 31 persons are still missing as remaining lost people have
been recovered on the orders of Supreme Court.Online
