Bus accident in Pakistan kills 12 children

MUZAFFARABAD, Pakistan -  A government official says a bus carrying school children has fallen into a canal in Pakistan-held Kashmir, killing at least 12 children.

The official, Khawaja Naeem, says two other children and the bus driver are still missing following the accident in Ali Beg, a town about 185 miles (300 kilometers) south of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistan-held Kashmir. Three children were saved.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan because of poor infrastructure and routine disregard of traffic laws. AP
