ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has
asked the government to state in clear terms if it is with people of Pakistan or
with US.
He said this while talking to media men here outside the parliament house
Friday.
He went on to say a clear contradiction existed in the statements of army,
foreign ministry and government. If government did not break its silence over
Osama Bin Laden issue and did not discharge its obligation then it should step
down, he underlined.
Aiwan-e-Sadr and Prime Minister should take the nation into confidence on
Abbottabad operation, he stressed. The criminal silence of president and prime
minister over US raid was giving rise to suspicions about their loyalty with the
country, he noted.
It was duty of government to fix responsibility and take action against those
found responsible in this regard, he demanded. Had action been taken in Raymond
Davis matter then the incident of May, 2 would have never occurred, he stated.
This was the second major mishap after fall of Dhakka that had plunged the
nation into deep despair, he added.
When US president was monitoring military operation, President Asif Ali
Zardari had gone into deep slumber of negligence, he alleged. A policy at
highest level should have come from government, he urged.
US president Obama had addressed the nation thrice on this operation while
the president and prime minister of the country where the incident had occurred
were hesitating from delivering address to take the nation into confidence, he
charged.
Interior minister who was claiming to be jack-of-all-trades was keeping mum
over this incident, he observed.
Democratic government, elected president, prime minister and parliament were
there then as to why the situation was not being made clear, he questioned.
Institutions were giving statements separately and incompetent rulers were
providing opportunity to non political forces to move ahead, he held.
Government should hold inquiry into the incident of hiring of over 300 houses
for US personnel in Islamabad, he demanded. Online
