Two polio cases detected in Tharparkar

Mithi, Sindh : Despite several immunization campaigns conducted by the government, two new cases of polio have been detected in Tharparkar, the desert district, bordering India.
 One case was reported from village Chaudhry Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, located near Naukot town, the gateway ofThar Desert, where both legs of a four-year boy Ramesh Kumar son of a laborer Teekam Bheel, have stopped functioning. The other case has been reported from village Niharo Bheel where six-year girl Jama daughter of Jhaman Bheel has become disabled and cannot walk. The parents of both the children told newsmen that no official of health department has so far contacted them.
