Two Lashakr-e-Islam commanders killed in Khyber Agency clashes

BARA: Three fighters of Lashakr-e-Islam, including two commanders, were killed while six volunteers of Zakhakhel tribe were injured in fresh clashes between the two groups in Bazaar valley of Khyber Agency on Sunday, local sources said.


The sources said that fierce fighting took place between the two groups in Volay area after the militants of LI marched from their positions towards the southwest of Bazaar valley where they were pushed back by warring Zakhakhel tribesmen.

The sources added that three militants of LI including commander Kandahar and Mahar Gul were killed while six volunteers of Zakhakhel tribe sustained injuries. However, some sources said that commander Kandahar survived in the fighting and said two other commanders including Mahar Gul were included in the dead.
