Rehman Malik says “good clues” found in Naval buses blasts in Karachi

Karachi : Interior Minister Rehman Malik says “good clues” found in twin blasts targetingPakistan Navy buses Tuesday in Karachi in which four Navy personnel embraced martyrdom and 58 others injured.“We have found good clues and hopefully will nab culprits,” he said at news conference with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Tuesday at CM House after presiding high level meeting on law and order. IG Police Sindh Fayyaz Leghari, CCPO Karachi, Rangers Sindh, intelligence officials were also present.

“In future, it will be our effort to siege area of incident and not allow entry of any person at placeof incident to facilitate forensic experts to complete their task. Terrorists could take advantage of the situation by causing subsequent sabotage,” Malik stated.

He said Interior Ministry was tracing all acts of terrorism, its roots with assistance of intelligenceagencies and police. He lauded police for arresting 58 target killers in Karachi and said they will beawarded. “We have information and hopefully make further arrests.”
 “I already discussed law and order situation with top leadership of MQM, ANP and other parties in order to curb target killings and arrest black sheeps. Police and Rangers have been empowered fully totake action against criminal elements. In last four month 558 murders were reported in Karachi and 153related to target killings,” he added.

He said recommendations made to Law Ministry for amendment in Evidence Act & Anti-Terrorism Act so that lacunas of save passage to criminals may be plugged. “We are taking everyone on board to bring changes in laws.”
Qaim Ali Shah condemning attacks on Pakistan Navy personnel said “we are hopeful and confident to detect those behind this act of terrorism.”  PPI
