Four Naval personnel martyred, 56 injured in terrorism acts on Naval buses in Karachi

Karachi :  At least four personnel of Pakistan Navy embraced martyrdom and 56 others injured when terrorists separately blasted two Navy buses with bombs planted near them on road side Tuesday in Karachi.

A Pakistan Navy press release said first incident occurred in Phase-II of Defence Society where a bombplanted on road side blasted damaging Navy's bus crossing the suite with 50 personnel onboard. Resultantly Sub. Lt. Iqbal and lady doctor Shazia embraced shahadat and 37 others injured shifted to PNS Shifa where they were being treated.
The second incident occurred in Baldia Town where another Navy bus carrying 35 personnel came under bomb blast effected planted on roadside, Navy sailor Umar Farooq and a civilian employee Muhammad Sharif were martyred and 19 personnel injured.
Senior Navy high officials visited hospital. Investigations has been ordered by Naval Headquarters, press release said. PPI
