Karachi : Pakistan cricket team players were awarded PIA (frequent flyer) Diamond Cards with 20,000 air miles as a token of appreciation by Managing Director PIA Nadeem Khan Yousufzai at dinner he hosted in their honour.
He said PIA has always supported sports and will continue to play its role for this purpose in the country. He appreciated performance of team and said it was collective efforts of all players that Pakistan reached semi-final of cricket ICC World Cup 2011. He commended bowling performance of skipperShahid Afridi and wish whole team success in coming matches. A Shield was also presented to Chairman PCB Ijaz Butt who thanked PIA especially its Managing DirectorNadeem Yousufzai for inviting cricket team for dinner also attended by coach Waqar Younus, players, PIA Director Marketing, Imraan Ahmed Khan, Director Human Resources PIA Shahnawaz Rehman, senior officials of PIA, CAA, PCB.
