Gilani's acceptance of invite a great goodwill gesture : Indian High Commissioner

LAHORE : Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr.Sharat Sabharwal on Monday said Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani'sacceptance of invitation extended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singhto watch the cricket World Cup semi-final match in Mohali is a greatgoodwill gesture.
He said that this would be an interesting match and an enjoyablegame. The major diplomatic initiative will help bring two borderingcountries together, he said.
Mr. Sabharwal said this while speaking to business community atFederation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI),Capital Office, Islamabad.
The High Commissioner said that Pakistan has a great potentialfor development and we should seek enhanced cooperation in variousfields.
 He said that improved relations will trigger pace of developmentin the two countries which will benefit everyone.
 Tariq Sayeed, Vice President Cacci and former President FPCCI andSaarc CCCI stressed the need to bring people and businesscommunities of the both countries together for mutual benefit. Hedemanded multiple visas for frequent travelers and a specialcategory of visas for augmented technical cooperation.
Sayeed said that a youth conference in India is on the cards inthe mid of April which will prove a milestone in bilateralrelations.
Earlier in his welcome address, President FPCCI Senator HajiGhulam Ali highlighted some issues hindering bilateral trade withvisa issue figuring prominently and got assurance that all thematters would be revisited. 
President FPCCI Ghulam Ali also stressed the need to increase thenumber of delegations between Pakistan and India adding that we needenhanced trade to arrest widespread poverty. He also called uponremoving trade barriers among the Saarc grouping.
 Among others, VPs FPCCI Akbar Khan and Fazle-Elahi, ChairmanFPCCI Capital Office Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Chairman CoordinationFPCCI, Capital Office Raza Khan, President ICCI Mahfooz Elahi,former VP, FPCCI Humayun Sayeed, Chairman FPCCI Standing CommitteeMedia and PR Malik Sohail, Commercial Consular Indian Embassy Mr.R.K. Sharma and other business leaders were also present on theoccasion.
Some exporters and exporters raised quality and technical backup issues on which Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr. SharatSabharwal assured full cooperation.
