Shahbaz Sharif lashes out at Zardari

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the looted money of Zardari in Swiss Banks and other plunderers would be recovered and spent on the public welfare.

He said that the entire nation is fully aware of the dacoity and theft of Zardari and other plunderers. He said that on the one hand, Zardari has committed a dacoity of billions of rupees to the people of Pakistan and deposited in Switzerland while on the other hand, he has assigned the task to Prime Minister neither to obey the orders of Supreme Court nor write a letter to Swiss Government.
The Chief Minister while congratulating the citizens of Rawalpindi over completion of Chandni Chowk Flyover announced that a flyover will also be constructed at Sixth Road Chowk. He said that one lakh 25 thousand laptops are being distributed this year among the talented students of the province whereas; three lakh laptops would be distributed during next financial year.
The Chief Minister announced a total amount of Rs. 15 lakh as cash prize for labourers and workers who took part in the construction of flyover in recognition of their best performance for completing Chandni Chowk Flyover four days before the stipulated period.
He was addressing a big public meeting after inauguration of Chandni Chowk Murree Road Rawalpindi Flyover, today. Member National Assembly Muhammad Haneef Abbasi and Chairman Rawalpindi Development Monitoring Committee Sardar Naseem also addressed the public meeting. Senators Pervaiz Rashid, Begum Najma Hameed, Members National and Provincial Assembly, officer-bearers and workers of Pakistan Muslim League-N and a large number of people were also present on this occasion.
Shahbaz Sharif expressed his determination that Khadim-e-Aala and Punjab government under the leadership of President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, will continue to complete development projects speedily. He said that Ali Baba and 40 thieves are sitting in Islamabad, few miles away from Rawalpindi who have ruined the country.
He said that people had not rendered numerous sacrifices for such a Pakistan where thief is considered “Chaudhry” and cruel as oppressed in police stations. He said that country would be made a Pakistan of Quaid and Iqbal in the real sense by hard work and honesty and mega development projects will be executed in the province.
He stressed upon the people to change the destiny of the country under the leadership of President Pakistan Muslim League-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif by giving majority to Muslim League-N in next general elections.
The Chief Minister said that Punjab Government recruited 70 thousand teachers purely on merit in 36 districts from Rahim Yar Khan to Attock during last two years. He said that the Cardiac Institute at a cost of Rs. 2.75 billion is near completion in Rawalpindi whereas the work has also been started on Urology Institute at a cost of three billion rupees and widening and construction of Chuhar Chowk Peshawar Road with Rs. 45 crore.
Seeing the enthusiasm of youth in the public meeting, the Chief Minister announced that 9,500 laptops would be distributed among talented students of Rawalpindi soon. He advised students to work hard and laptops would be given to them.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Member National Assembly Muhammad Hanif Abbasi and performance of Secretary Communication & Works Maj. (R) Muhammad Azam Salman, former Commissioner Zahid Saeed, DCO Saqib Zafar, DG NLC, other officials and concerned departments and said that the cash prize of Rs. 15 lakh would be distributed among the labourers on the completion of this project through a committee headed by DCO Rawalpindi.
