At least seven security personnel were martyred and two others injured in the result of the
militants attack in North Waziristan Agency; meanwhile nine militants
were also killed in the firing of security forces personnel.
The attack took place at Khar Qamar, 30 kilometres (18 miles) west of Miranshah, the main town in the district.
The Pakistani security officials said nine militants were also killed
in the attack, but there was no independent confirmation of the toll.
After the attack the security forces personnel cordoned off the area
and started the search operation for the arrest of the attackers. SANA
