Supreme Court orders IGP Sindh to trace out killers of Baloch women

The Supreme Court has ordered the IG Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Shah to trace out the killers involved in the murder of MPA Balochistan Bakhtiar Domki’s wife and daughter in four days. 

During the hearing of Balochistan target Killing case and application filed regarding the killing of Baloch leader’s wife and daughter in Karachi, the three member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry directed that no matter how much the culprits are influential, they must be arrested.
The member of the bench Justice Khilji Arif Hussain remarked that “Balochistan is our soul if it leaves us country would be disintegrated.”
During the course of hearing the Chief Justice in his remarks asked that this issue should be taken seriously.   He said the Government should give more attention towards resolution of the problems being faced by the people of Balochistan because we give importance to this.
The IG Sindh informed the court that the incident seems the result of personal amenity, adding that the killers have killed the daughter of the Bakhtiar earlier and later they killed the mother.
The chief Justice said that this incident is not the matter of personal enmity it could be an incident of enmity against State, adding that IG does not know that what would be the political implications of the incident.
In response to that IG Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Shah said that this incident has made him restless, adding that all possible efforts are being made to arrest the culprits and police would reach at any conclusion soon.
The chief Justice remarked that IGP and Rangers are responsible for the law and order of the province and system would not go ahead just making the reports, adding that such incident are the result of insecurity of the masses. Strike is being observed in Balochistan and IG of the province also not performing its duties.
Meanwhile the IG Sindh admitted the people wearing ornaments in Karachi do not come out of their houses late night.
The court observed that IG Sindh has failed to perform its duty and no one has taken the advantage of the court decision given regarding the situation of Karachi.
The court declared the report of Sindh police as dissatisfactory and directed the IGP Sindh to appear before the court on next date of hearing.
During the course of hearing Attorney General requested the court for granting more time to ISI and MI to submit the report before the court regarding the target killing in Balochistan, which the court had summoned on last date of hearing. Hearing of the case has been adjourned till Friday. 
It is worth mentioning here that the court taking notice of the incident had summoned IG Mushtaq Shah and Advocate General Sindh.
The wife and daughter of Sibi MPA Mir Bakhtiar Domki and their driver were killed in an attack near the Gizri flyover late on January 30.
Four assailants riding two motorcycles attacked the car, critically wounding the driver and the MPA’s wife and daughter, who were sitting in the backseats. A girl fauzia who was their mad, survived the attack luckily.
Domki is a grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and his family had come to Karachi to meet relatives.  SANA
